Current news and details of courses, fees, competitions and other club information can be found on our facebook page.
We are a member of the British Fencing Association and follow the Britsh Fencing code of conduct to ensure the welfare and safety of all our members. If you have any questions or concerns at all do not hesitate to contact us or the Brish Fencing Association.
On club nights you will be expected to sign in, then be ready for the warm up. Parents and visitors are very welcome and indeed encouraged to stay and watch (we do not insist that they join the warm up).
Once you have warmed up it will be time to kit up, where we set up the electric pistes, put on our protective gear and arm ourselves. Members and coaches will be around to help with the kit, just ask if you are unsure.
We then split into free fencing and courses or on occasion hold a competition.
In free fencing there are no rules about who can fence who, you just ask a likely looking opponent for a match, you can also ask one of the coaches or another member to referee. Our coaches will be watching you fence so don't be surprised if they step in with a bit of advice or on the spot coaching.
You can also book a private lesson with one of our coaches which will run in the last half hour of the session after any courses have finished.
